The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) is pleased to invite you to explore Regional Collaboration in the GTHA

On October 3, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event in Hamilton focused on ‘Regional Collaboration in the GTHA’. The event will bring together private and public sector stakeholders to discuss success stories, facilitators, barriers, and strategies to support greater regional collaboration in the GTHA.

Regional collaboration is a powerful tool for economic development. Partnerships among businesses, post-secondary institutions, government, entrepreneurs, not-for-profits, and other stakeholders allow regions to accomplish more by pooling resources and expertise to tackle big challenges. Ontario is home to many productive examples of regional collaboration. For example, in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA), cooperation between universities and industry has been instrumental in improving technology adoption and innovation outcomes. Still, there is opportunity for more – and deeper – cooperation in the region.
