Release & Renew: Winter Solstice Ritual for Reflection & New Beginnings
Overview
As we approach the Winter Solstice on December 21 — the turning point where the longest night begins giving way to returning light — this gentle 2-hour gathering is created as a quiet ritual to close the year with intention.
No yoga or meditation experience is needed. This space is open and welcoming to absolutely everyone.
We will begin with grounding breathwork and a soft guided meditation to help you settle into your body and release the weight this year may have carried. A light, mindful yoga practice will follow, designed simply to open space in the body, soften tension, and create a sense of calm — not to challenge or push.
In the second part of the session, you will be guided through reflective journaling prompts to help you look back at the year with clarity and honesty: what supported you, what shaped you, what you’re ready to let go of, and what you want to make space for in the new year.
We’ll treat this moment as a personal transition — a quiet pause between what has been and what will be.
We will close the ritual with a calming tea meditation and a collective intention-setting practice, honoring the symbolic energy of the Solstice: releasing the old and welcoming the return of light.
