TakingITGlobal and imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival invites you to join us for the premiere of an inspirational film and a documentary, written and directed by Dana Jeffrey-Khan!
The first 50 people who sign up for the premiere will receive a $20 gift certificate from Uber Eats or an alternative food delivery service depending on your location!
Premiere Structure:
The premiere of The Strength of My Spirit & Two Beating Drums.
- The Strength of My Spirit, a narrative short film that explores the relationship between an Anishinaabe man and his hair.
- Two Beating Drums, a short documentary,exploring the Indigenous and Black Population on Turtle Island. This documentary highlights individuals with mixed Indigenous and Black ancestry and explores themes such as: Identity, Shadeism, racism and most importantly empowerment.
Panel with the Director and film and documentary participants
The premiere will be followed by a panel, moderated by Adriana Chartrand (imagineNative). The panellists include, Dana Jeffrey-Khan (director/writer), Michael Solomon (featured in The Strength of My Spirit) and Tasha Toulouse (featured in Two Beating Drums).
