We’re looking forward to learning with you on June 17th from 12 noon to 1 pm!

About this Event

CLEO Connect hosts a learning exchange, or community of practice, for community and legal workers in Ontario.

Community and legal workers are the go-to people for people in their communities experiencing legal problems. By sharing case studies, recent research, and tips that help in this work, we aim to learn from each other and gather good practices to help us in the future.

We invite you to join our next learning exchange call on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 12:00-1:00 EDT. Get your ticket by clicking the "Register" button at the top right of the screen.

What difference can a pandemic make? Community workers are finding new ways to help people identify and deal with legal problems when face-to-face connections aren’t possible.

Join us from 12 noon to 1 pm on June 17, 2020 to ask questions and share your experience on a free lunch and learn teleconference.

We’ll hear from:

• Lisa Turik of Community Advocacy and Legal Centre about CALC’s legal health check up and how they connect with community service providers remotely.

• Pamela Cross of Luke’s Place on how they changed training and support of family court workers and opened their virtual legal clinic to more people across Ontario.

We’ll reflect on:

• Does making a good referral to legal services change when only remote access is available

• What you have learned as a result of working remotely

• What new ways of working might remain, even after the need for “physical distancing” is over

Please register for the call at Eventbrite, and you will receive reminders and the call-in information.
