Description

The Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE) Network and the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) invite Indigenous communities, clean energy sector companies, development firms, electricity utilities, academic and research institutions, capital markets, and policy makers to learn about the latest clean energy micro-grid developments in remote, diesel-reliant, off-grid Indigenous communities. The session will feature interactive opportunities aimed at scaling-up and accelerating diesel reduction through clean energy integrated through remote micro-grids.

Agenda includes:

  • Overview of Canadian Remote Community Energy Planning & Micro-Grids;
  • Global Energy Access and Micro-Grid Developments & Opportunities;
  • Remote Clean Energy Panel, featuring leaders from remote Indigenous communities across Canada;
  • Micro-Grid Roundtable Discussion;
  • Micro-Grid Innovations; and
  • Information on the ICE Network's Off-Grid Forum
