The session will be facilitated by Dr. Leeno Karumanchery, Co-Founder and Head of Behavioural Sciences MESH Diversity. ABOUT YOUR HOSTS
The Black Business Initiative Society (BBI) is partnering with TD Bank Group and the Black Opportunity Fund to launch a national initiative, funded the Government of Canada, to support efforts in the banking sector aimed at increasing the representation of members of the Black community in mid- to senior level management positions.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS SESSION
The project’s specific objectives are to:
• Improve representation of Black Canadians within the banking sector;
• Improve understanding among banking sector stakeholders of industry-specific barriers and the inclusion of effective human resources practices to address them; and
• Develop new inclusion tools, such as the Inclusive Visioning Process road map, tailored to industry specific needs.
As this is a national event, a series of events have been arranged with multiple sessions to accommodate as much of the banking sector as possible.
INFORMATION SESSION
The key objectives of this session are to increase participant understanding of the science underpinning systemic oppression as well as providing a real impetus to push beyond the confines of "diversity drain" and towards engagements with D&I that are not only purposeful, meaningful but organizationally relevant.

Leeno a plus de 28 ans d'expérience et est mondialement reconnu pour son expertise dans les domaines de l'intelligence émotionnelle et de la diversité.
A propos de cet événement
La Black Business Initiative Society (BBI) s'associe à la banque TD et au Black Opportunity Fund pour lancer une initiative nationale visant à soutenir les efforts déployés dans le secteur bancaire afin d'accroître la représentation des membres de la communauté noire dans les postes de direction de niveau intermédiaire à supérieur.
Les objectifs spécifiques du projet sont les suivants :
- Améliorer la représentation des Canadiens de race noire dans le secteur bancaire;
- Améliorer la compréhension, parmi les intervenants du secteur bancaire, des obstacles spécifiques à l'industrie et l'inclusion de pratiques efficaces en matière de ressources humaines pour les surmonter ; et
- Développer de nouveaux outils d'inclusion, tels que la feuille de route du processus de vision inclusive, adaptés aux besoins spécifiques de l'industrie.
Comme il s'agit d'un événement national, une série d'événements a été organisée avec des sessions multiples afin d'accommoder la plus grande partie possible du secteur bancaire.
SÉANCE D'INFORMATION
Les principaux objectifs de cette session sont d'accroître la compréhension des participants sur la science qui sous-tend l'oppression systémique, ainsi que de donner un véritable élan pour dépasser les limites de la "fuite de la diversité" et aller vers des engagements avec D&I qui sont non seulement utiles, significatifs mais pertinents pour l'organisation.
