About RISE Ottawa 2016
RISE (Research In Science Exhibition) is the national flagship event of the Foundation for Student Science and Technology (FSST), launched and coordinated by our Ambassador Program. For the first time, on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016, FSST will be hosting this innovative conference in the National Capital Region! It is the Ottawa Ambassador Team's great pleasure to welcome you to RISE Ottawa 2016.
Unlike traditional science-oriented conferences, RISE emphasizes the importance of all four components of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), and puts a focus on the research aspect of these interconnected disciplines. RISE Ottawa aims to encourage more young people to become scientifically literate, understand and overcome the challenges associated with a STEM-related career, and get involved in research.
By participating in the conference, passionate students such as yourself will be empowered to become scientific leaders, inspired by the limitless possibilities offered by discovery and innovation, and enabled to explore the research of professionals while networking with established scientists and motivated students alike. Complete with interactive keynotes, speaker panels, workshops, laboratory tours, exhibitions by our distinguished sponsors and guests, and other hands-on activities, RISE offers an experience that we know will leave you with an enriched holistic perspective on the process of research and innovation itself, and feeling inspired to pursue such a rewarding career path.
Please contact the Ottawa Ambassador Team at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details about the event.
