Event description

Description

The Believe Initiative and Impact Skateboard Club are proud to present their first collaborative event at St. Alban’s Boy’s and Girl’s Club on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, 5pm-7pm.

Resilience is a two-part event: a keynote talk hosted by Canadian Olympian, Sarah Wells, followed by a learn-to-skateboard workshop by Impact Skateboard Club.

The Believe Initiative is a movement focused on inspiring young people to be resilient, relentlessly pursue their goals, and foster an unwavering belief in themselves.

Impact Skateboard Club is a Toronto non-profit, and the first and only organization to use skateboarding as a vehicle to mentor and empower youth through education, accessibility, and social justice.

The event will showcase the life-changing importance of facing and conquering challenges, fear, and adversity, as well as pushing one’s limits and embracing the unknown.

Both Impact and the Believe Initiative work to empower youth to learn and grow through physical activity, and use those experiences to enrich their daily lives.

Admittance for Resilience is free of charge. Registration for the skateboard workshop must be completed online at: www.impactskateclub.com/resilience
