About this Event

The costs of post-secondary education continue to rise and most parents want to give their children a debt-free start to their careers on completing their studies. Give your child the advantage of accumulating enough to complete their post-secondary education by starting when they are newborn.

What is an RESP?

An RESP (Registered Education Savings Plan) is a savings plan or investment made towards a child’s post-secondary education. RESP can be opened by parents, grandparents, other family members or friends and contributions are made over the years leading up to when it will be needed. Child-care agencies can also open an RESP.

There are different RESP plans offered by various organizations. You can obtain an RESP through banks, group scholarship companies, credit unions, insurance companies, mutual fund companies, and investment dealers.

The savings plan can be opened jointly or even by one person and the beneficiary can be the child, a parent or even another adult.
