Event description

Description

Have you ever wanted to know more about that mural you pass every day? Did you know there are over 20 historical plaques located on heritage buildings in the downtown core? Have a burning question about Vernon’s history? Following the theme of respect, Vernon Museum Education Coordinator Gabriel Newman will lead you throughout downtown Vernon stopping at select murals and recently refurbished historical plaques while telling stories of Vernon’s unique, and not always pleasant, past.

Gabriel is the Education Coordinator for the Greater Vernon Museum & Archives in addition to being a professional storyteller and performer, director and teacher. He is the creator and guide for the Ghost Tours of Vernon and leads the Downtown Mural Tours throughout the summer.

This tour goes rain or shine and is free of charge!
