RESTORE & TONE-UP YOGA

Enjoy a yoga practice that combines active and passive stretching and toning up exercises to target both the muscles and the deeper connective tissues around the major joints of the body.

In this 4-week Series you will:

  • Learn easy to do “Hatha Yoga” asanas (postures) with special breathing techniques to relax your muscles

  • Strengthen and renew your joints and tissues around the shoulders, neck, hips, wrist, pelvis, and spine. (exercise bands, ankle weights, and light dumbbells will be used to strengthen).

  • Connect with your breath and body for deep relaxation and restoration.

  • Learn traditional ‘India Meditations and breathing ‘Pranayam’ techniques

  • Each class will end with ‘Angel Card readings’

  • Only 6 students per class will help you get personalized attention

This class is based on the belief that by placing gentle and safe stress on the joints the immune response is triggered sending rejuvenating prana or chi to the joint. Since the elasticity of the connective tissues diminishes with age and lack of movement, it is important to incorporate stretching into your practice thereby helping to prevent injury and stimulate tissue and joint health. This class will close with ‘savasana’ (sleeping meditation) for a deeper self-connection and to release stress... All levels and abilities are welcome and encouraged.
