Rethinking Behaviour and Self-Regulation: Reframing Hidden Stressors
Event Information
About this event
Dr. Stuart Shanker says, “See a child differently, see a different child.” Reframing behaviour has us look at the causes of behaviour rather than judging and controlling it. When we consider reframing behaviour, we need to reflect on our own stressors and energy and how those are impacting ourselves and others around us. Being a stress detective helps us know the difference between a stress behaviour and misbehaviour so that we can respond accordingly. These sessions have you explore the five practices for self-regulation, consider our own stressors as adults, and how we might respond to our students.
Note: all sessions take place in SK time.
