About this event
Love old school hip hop and rap? Learn the basics to build beats and remix tracks like they did in the 80s – no prior musical experience required. You’ll use an Akai MPC synth pad, MakeyMakeys, and a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to get started creating or remixing your own sounds. It’s also the place the meet up with other creative EG teens interested in making digital music. If you want to keep any recordings you create in the session, bring an email address to use for file sharing.
Effective March 1, the Library no longer requires you to show proof of vaccination prior to participating in a program. Before you enter a program, please self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms using the information posted at the facility entrance. If you are experiencing symptoms, please do not enter the facility.
Face coverings remain in place for participants aged 2 and up.
