Return to Source is a transformational dance journey co-created by and for the masculine and feminine. It is designed to take you into the depths of sound and soul to a place where mind, body and purpose can merge. An invitation to dance with the light and the shadows and reveal your true inner nature: none other than the dynamic, ecstatic and whole being that you are...

The evening will be guided by:

Rara Avis, a dedicated master of his craft with over 20 years experience in multi-instrumental live performance and music production with a core focus on where the electronic underground, yoga and ecstatic dance movements collide. He facilitates using his voice, acoustic + electric guitar, native american flute, didgeridoo and laptop to blend sacred, original soundscapes. He will then transition into an expertly curated DJ set designed to invoke the wild dancing spirit in us all.

Naomi Jason, founder of Dance Temple Salt Spring, for an exquisite evening blending live and produced music, qigong, dance and sound-healing. Come to be danced! Naomi has spent her life studying dance and movement as an expression of the divinity that lies within us all. She is a master facilitartor who can weave her magic on the dance floor to create a sense of connectedness and ecstasy that runs wild in the circuits of our cells.

With special guests Pepper and Mas (of Yaima), a Cascadian Elemental & Alchemical Electronic Music Duo based in Seattle WA. Creating a deeply captivating and finely tuned container for their audiences, Pepper and Mas allow the listener the opportunity to Journey through Sonic Soundscapes traversing sensually stimulating and heart centered compositions deeply inspiring each listener to return to their truth. Their music is reminiscent of well known music groups such as Purity Ring, Massive Attack, Bjork, Portishead, Wildlight, Emancipator and Lulacruza.

Altars and decoration will be created by Tifa Mudita. Tifa’s flowing art blossoms in fascination of life force energy, sheer gratitude for the all the living colors of nature and enjoying life with all of you. Our greatest hope for sharing Art is for all experiencing these collaborative efforts to feel unified, reminding you of your softness and the inner sanctuary of your heart.
We Truly hope to create contagious heart expanding inspiration for all experiencing our fabric decor set with a tone of mudita.

In the Mettam Sutta (Samyutta Nikaya 46.54) the Buddha said, "I declare that the heart's release by sympathetic joy has the sphere of infinite consciousness for its excellence."
MUDITA: A Sanskrit word and a Buddhist practice of sympathetic joy for example; having joy for another's joy.

NAOMI JASON

Naomi is a pure-hearted visionary, community leader and artist with a passion for authentic embodiment and global system change. She is a co-founder of Dance Temple in coastal BC, Canada, a producer of multi-disciplinary events and theatre, embodiment facilitator, artist, seed-saver and qigong therapist. She is currently in a deep investigation of what it might mean to co-create villages of peace research on this beautiful earth.

In her journey with embodiment, she inspires people of all ages and walks of life to engage with their own physical wisdom in safe and playful ways. She invites you to join her in the question, “what is true contact with life force?” and brings this question to the larger frame of how we relate to each other and our world. What would it look like to live in a culture of connection where we become conscious of the interplay between what we create and what has created us?

Naomi is honoured to be co-creating experiences with her dear companion, Alex King-Harris (aka Rara Avis) and to be holding space together for music, movement and the deepening of trust.

Pepper Proud's lyrically alluring lush enchanting vocals sweetly soar over guitar chords reminiscent of the Appalachian Mountains where her musical journey began. Through a heartfelt voice, her stories captivate audiences with emotional illustrations & reassuring compositions.

=======

Mas Higasa brings forth an interweaving of worldly derived traditional approaches with acoustic and percussion based intstrumentation, which he then infuses into electronic realms, resulting in the auditory immersive experience of a finessed marriage between a spectrum of multi-cultural instrumental explorations integrated with more modern methods of electronic based production. The output is a translating and carrying forth of the timeless legacy of anestral ways of sound crafting into the full array of the musical world of the present

Tifa Mudita

"I love working with Brilliant Event Producers, Artists of all levels, Designers, Builders, Photographers, Visual Artists, Coordinators, Directors, Custodians, Musicians and more for offering spaces of Sanctuary and Inspiration.

Every space has a unique energy, structure & flow, including the co-creations of all the brilliant beings involved. I work with the fabrics in the spaces by gazing and feeling the materials, measuring the pieces, and then meditating to tap into the heart beat of each space, the heart beat of all of us working together. Once my mind is clear and my heart is listening.. I start designing. Climbing ladders, guiding our amazing team of helpers and volunteers, using zip ties, staple guns, wire, rope and anything crafty to attach the free flowing fabric to sustain for a whole event.

It amazes me how strong fabric is, how long it can last if taken care of. Starting from a single thread and then interweaving with countless more threads. Just like the fabric of our being. Just like the strength of our co creations and communities. I am so deeply grateful for this work, and for all the people involved in muDitaDesign." -Tifa
