Corrie ten Boom is a name synonymous with resisting the Nazi juggernaut as it swept across Europe. Along with her father and a courageous group of friends, she provided a safe haven for Jews attempting to escape Nazi persecution. Among those who also found shelter in Carrie ten Boom’s home was 18-year old Hans Poley, a Dutch resistance fighter.
Hans, and other members of the Dutch resistance navigate a deadly labyrinth of challenges to rescue the Jewish people in their modern-day, panicked exodus from death while embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt with the underground involving Gestapo hijacks, daring rescues, codes in windswept old windmills, and stunning miracles in one of history's most famous dramas.
This compelling film culminates in the true, breath-taking rescue of an entire orphanage of Jewish children marked for mass execution by the Nazis. This is the sobering tale of Hans and the youth movement that dared to resist one of history's cruelest tyrants.
