Event description

Description

Post-secondary learners, administrators and educators are invited to share Indigenous culture and understanding.

This program will combine lectures, activities, case studies and round table discussions to contextualize the learners' academic studies, foster a supportive environment of peers and educators, and provide tools to help ensure the success of their individual academic programs. Program themes include: a dialogue on reconciliation, cultural competencies, and wellness from an Indigenous perspective. Educators and post-secondary institutions will also highlight programs available through on campus Indigenous centres.

This program is open to all Indigenous learners, full-time and part-time in post-secondary undergraduate (bachelor) or graduate degree programs. This includes the fields of arts, sciences, business, law, education and social work. The program is also open to business educators, administrators, and post-secondary coordinators from Indigenous organizations.

Accommodation subsidies are available for eligible students.

This program is offered by AFOA Alberta and the CPA Education Foundation.
