This event attracts keynote speakers and thought leaders from around the world and is a highlight of the educational year for most General Surgeons as well as Allied Healthcare Professionals, Residents, and students from across Alberta.

COVID-19 POLICY:

Unless we are unable to convene due to provincial or federal health restrictions or mandates, the AAGS Review in the Rockies event will proceed as planned.

In order to provide a safe environment for our event attendees, The Alberta Association of General Surgeons will require proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of the start date of the event. Attendees who are not fully vaccinated or do not have proof of a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of the event start date will not be permitted to attend the event and no refunds will be issued.

REFUND POLICY:

Cancellation and substitution requests must be made by emailing our event coordinator Kyla at kyla@sparkeventcollective.com.

A full refund will be issued for any refund & cancellation requests made before October 1, 2021. Cancellation requests received after October 1, 2021 will not be eligible to receive a refund.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

The Alberta Association of General Surgeons has negotiated a special discounted room rate of $249.00 + tax and fees for conference attendees to stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs.

Please note: in addition to the hotel room + taxes, attendees are responsible for and will be required to pay a $19.60 Canada Parks entry fee. This fee will be charged upon entry into Banff National Park.

Please note that guestroom rates are subject to a resort fee of $14.00 plus GST per person, per night. This fee covers porterage, business centre access, wireless guest room internet, fitness centre access, and select resort activities.

Reservations will be available on a first come, first served basis and one night's deposit will be charged at the time of booking. Cancellation of individual reservations must be made 25 days prior to arrival.
