  • Early registration is recommended, since some pre-reading materials will be sent out to attendees three days in advance, before the workshops start.
  • A $50 deposit will be held at registration to be fully refunded upon completion of all workshop dates in the series. Refund could go only to your PayPal account when it passes 60 days since ticket purchase.
  • If you are unable to attend a workshop session, please let staff know 4 business days ahead of time at saadia@riccentre.com. We regret that failure to do so may result in loss of your deposit.

The B2B Sales Process workshops

 (3 workshops, 4 hours each)

Entrepreneur's Toolkit Workshops are hands-on workshops facilitated by experienced entrepreneurs that offer start-ups the Tools, Mentoring and peer Feedback to solve specific problems and Accomplish essential components of their business. 

Out of each 4-hour workshop, you will have a Deliverable generated, which you will use frequently in the future business development.

 Workshop Schedule

 

May 10

8:30 am - 1:00 pm

Part 1 –The Sales Call

Practice managing individual sales opportunities in order to turn leads into prospects.
Deliverable: Techniques to book, prepare for, and conduct a sales call.

May 17

8:30 am - 1:00 pm

Part 2 –Understanding Negotiations

Practice managing individual sales opportunities in order to turn prospects into closed transactions.

Deliverable: Techniques to negotiate with customers and close a deal.


May 24

8:30 am - 1:00 pm

 

Part 3 – The Sales Funnel

Define the stages of the sales cycle for your customers and map out your sales pipeline.
Deliverable: A spreadsheet with sales-funnel data for a prospective customer. 

 

 

How Entrepreneurs Apply

Contact your RIC Centre business advisor to apply to the workshop series. Registration is limited to 24 participants per session and two participants per company. Non-disclosure agreements will be signed by all participants. This workshop series is valued at $550 but is offered free of charge to entrepreneurs associated with RIC Centre.

The Research, Innovation, Commercialization (RIC) Centre was launched in 2008 as a not-for-profit organization supporting the development of innovation and entrepreneurship in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon. RIC Centre provides commercialization support to help new entrepreneurs and seasoned business people take technical innovations to market.

Entrepreneur's Toolkit Workshops are a collection of experiential, hands-on group workshops that will aid entrepreneurs in specific areas of business growth. In a small group setting, entrepreneurs work with peers and advisors to think through and design essential components of their business. All these workshops are supported by Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs (ONE). The RIC Centre is a proud member of ONE.
