Event description

Description

A riparian area is defined as the strip of moisture-loving vegetation growing along the edge of a natural water body. A riparian management zone usually extends from the water’s edge to the upland area.

What progress has been made to protect and improve riparian areas in the North Saskatchewan River watershed?

Many excellent speakers will discuss topics ranging from policies to riparian restoration projects in the NSR watershed, including the Sturgeon River subwatershed and the Vermilion River subwatershed. An innovative new approach to assessing riparian health will be highlighted.

The agenda will be posted later this week.
