Rise Up Singing! Voices Together: A benefit Singalong Concert

Annie Patterson & Peter Blood, the creators of the celebrated Rise Up Singing folk songbook and the 2015 sequel Rise Again are coming to Ottawa and sharing the stage with Tony Turner - winner of the 2016 Spirit of Folk award for his timely "Harperman" hit. Tony's popular anthem "Circle of Song" is included in Rise Again.

This concert will celebrate the life & work of Pete Seeger (next year will be the 100th anniversary of his birth) along with the many wonderful songwriters who are working to build a better world through music.

This a chance to meet the pair who "wrote the book" and singalong to some of the 1200 additional songs in the new songbook. We will be joined by guest artist Ian Robb, who has two songs in Rise Again.

This concert is a benefit fundraiser for services suuplied by and for Ottawa's indigenous community. In addition, this is also an opportunity to acknowledge and support some of the many groups in the area working for peace and justice.

Tickets are also available at the door for a suggested donation of $25-40. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
