Event description
If you're a racialized youth under 30 years old, our RISE Ambassadors would love to meet you and share their project idea!

About this Event

At a time where young people are increasingly engaging in the Environment space, what does it mean to center racialized youth within Environment? How can we create spaces where racialized youth are able to reconnect with other generations and reimagine sustainability in a way that centers our lived experiences?

These are some of the conversations we’re hoping to have at our RISE Community Consultation, in which you’ll meet our youth Ambassadors, share your thoughts on their project idea, and learn how you can get involved. Dinner will be provided.

Who is this for?

This dialogue is for Black, Indigenous, and other youth of colour who identify as a young person under 30 years old and is interested in being part of the conversation! You don't have to be an 'expert' or highly engaged in the environmental movement to be able to attend.

About the Space

Collingwood Neighbourhood House, 5288 Joyce St. , is two blocks south from Joyce-Collingwood Skytrain. Our consultation will take place in Program Room A & B. The room is on the second floor (accessible from stairs or elevator). Underground free parking is available from Euclid St. On the second floor there are single use, genderless, wheelchair accessible washrooms. The first floor has multi-use gendered washrooms.

If you have any additional questions, please email vanrise@apathyisboring.com

This dialogue session is taking place on the occupied, traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples – specifically the sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) nations.
