"I've dreamed about making a record like this for over a decade and it's wild to say that my debut full length album, "Nice To Meet Ya" will be out this summer on Friday, June 23rd! I've poured my heart into this record and I have so many people to thank that have helped to make this possible. I hope you can join us at Fox Cabaret on Thursday, June 22nd where we will be playing the record live in it's entirety before the record goes out into the streaming ether. I've made this event by donation to make it as accessible to as many people as possible so please invite your friends and family to enjoy a special evening of music and memories you won't want to miss! Look forward to seeing you at the show!

Riun Garner"

Riun Garner is a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter drawing inspiration from alternative indie-rock music from the 90’s and a love for modern contemporaries like Phoebe Bridgers, Hovvdy, and Alex G. Though deeply personal, Riun’s songs seem almost written for you or about you. They embody that which we can’t always comprehend: the irreconcilable joy and loss of loving. His debut full-length album, slated for release this summer on June 23, marks a significant shift in production. Still leaning into the fluttering analog tape and nostalgic upbringings of his EP, Garner’s newest songs feel as though they’re from a gifted mix tape from a lover or friend.

As a singer and songwriter, David Vertesi is one of Canada’s best-kept secrets, though not due to any lack of success. In fact, chances are at some point you’ve seen him, a band he’s played in (Hey Ocean!, Shad, Dear Rouge, Hannah Georgas, Said The Whale), or an artist he’s produced (Haley Blais, Noble Son, Ashleigh Ball, Riun Garner).

Vertesi’s deep baritone voice, witty and emotionally potent songwriting, and intimate production style make his songs feel special from first listen. He navigates somber subject matter with a light touch, offering both pain and catharsis - often simultaneously. It’s easy to understand comparisons to names like The National, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, and David Bazan of Pedro The Lion, as well as fellow Vancouver songwriter, Dan Mangan.

Kylie V (they/them) is a young queer singer-songwriter from Vancouver, BC. With a knack for lyricism and a hauntingly strong voice, they write and perform an honest and strikingly vulnerable combo of rock, folk, and pop. In other words, Kylie is poised and ready to make you cry. Their newest release, The Runaway EP, is out now.
