About this event
Just steps east of Toronto's downtown core, Riverside neighbourhood has decades of experience building its fresh air public art gallery and many stories to share.
As part of Doors Open Toronto, Riverside BIA is hosting these tours to help you get to know the background and influences on our many forms of local public art. This walk will begin at the new Riverside Common Park (657 Queen St E), traverse the bridge to view the iconic bridge art over the Don River from the 'Time & A Clock Series". Then, we'll move through time to highlight public art in Riverside starting from Carroll Street near the famous Dark Horse Espresso, and making our way west through the laneway. Get get an in-depth introduction to the new multi-block laneway art corridor "Women Paint Riverside 'Currents of Change'". On the way learn about famous local businesses such as Blackbird Baking Co, The Broadview Hotel, and Eastbound Brewing Co. Get a sneak peek of the site of the next big public art project in Riverside neighbourhood.

Our tours invite people from all across the city and the GTA and beyond, to come and explore the vibrant Riverside neighbourhood, located in Toronto along Queen Street East between the DVP and Empire Avenue. .
