Road Trip to Steeltown
Sat, 29 October 2016, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EDT
Hamilton, Ontario, is quickly becoming home to artists, musicians, chefs, and other creative types fleeing Toronto real-estate prices. A recent article in Fashion describes the city as "equal parts gritty and pretty, buzzy and calm, old and new."
Being who we are, we'll bookend our trip with visits to a couple of really old places - Whitehern Historic House and Garden, and the "upstairs/downstairs" world of Dundurn Castle. In between, we'll visit the Art Gallery of Hamilton, the country's third-largest public art gallery. After lunch, we'll walk it off with an architectural tour to learn about the original layout of the city and how it has grown over time.
The tour price includes your seat on the bus, all admissions, and lunch.
Please note: ticket sales close October 14.
