A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns the author of many Scots poems. For Scotch lovers or a Scot in spirit, it’s an evening warming up to the poet’s birthday. Scotland has a vibrant food scene that honours its history with farm-to-table food.
On the menu tonight:
. Modern Cullen Skink with Oat and Seed Bread - luxurious smoked fish chowder with prawns and a hint of whisky, served with a rustic bread and good butter!
. Wee Haggis Tarts -with a nod to the tradition, Scottish cheddar crust with a bit of haggis topped with Red Wine Onion Jam. The haggis comes from the people at Oyama Sausage, and it’s outstanding!
. The “Foraged” Salad - great pickings in the countryside; crispy cress, hazelnuts, a tangy cider dressing, add the tang of Scottish blue
. "Triple-A- Angus" and Whisky Glaze - the root veg mash always served with a meaty companion
. Sticky Toffee Pudding with Whisky-Caramel Sauce - and a bit of cold custard too

Want to save the Eventbrite fee? You can register in person and over the phone directly with the store (604) 939-6200. Payment is required when you register - visa, MasterCard, gift certificates are accepted over the phone, cash and debit in person.
We have a 72 hours cancelation policy. If you need to cancel but have not given 72 hours notice, no refund, transfer to another class or credit will be issued, but you can send somebody in your place.
In the event that not enough participants are registered, we would have to cancel the class. We will notify registered participants at least 48 hrs prior and issue a full refund.
Chefs will try to accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions if given 72 hours notice. Please inquire prior to booking if there are any food concern.
