FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The O Train will deliver you to Carleton U a short walk from the Ice House, as will any buses that service Carleton. Drivers can park at Brewer Park and walk across Bronson, or can use the paid parking at the University directly outside the venue.

Why can't I get rentals on site without booking 24hrs ahead?

Our club is volunteer run and we need to pick up the skates from a storage facility. The 24 hours allows us enough flexibility to be able to do that.

Why is Norm Fenn gym so tricky to find?

Once you've found us you'll be skating happily, but initially it can be tricky to find the ice house building and the gym. If you go to the main athletic building - with the other gyms and the pool - they are usually pretty good about sending you across the path to the Ice House - it is the building with the sports therapy and the ice pads. There is a reception desk in that building too and they are super helpful. From the main entrance the gym is past reception and then turn left after the vending machines and you are pretty much there!
