Event description

Description

Brian Wismath, Music Director, has chosen Romantic Europe as the theme for the first concert of The Civic Orchestra of Victoria's 36th season. The program features Bruckner's monumentally bold, yet strangely subtle sixth symphony, two contrasting overtures, and Borodin's beautifully tuneful symphonic poem, In the Steppes of Central Asia. Prepare to be transported to the concert halls of Romantic Europe, circa 1880, as you listen.

Bruckner - Symphony No. 6
Mendelssohn
- Ruy Blas Overture
Brahms - Tragic Overture
Borodin - In the Steppes of Central Asia
