In a sea of attempted virality, Michaela Slinger is a life raft. She’s a “legendary songbird in the making” (MRG Group) at the intersection of pop, indie, and singer-songwriter, crafting new music that feels lived in. Her stop-you-dead vocals and poetic observations about love, aging, and selfhood are showcased on her debut record ‘Panorama’ (604 Records), released in April 2021 to editorial playlisting, US college radio charting, and a #4 peak at Stingray Canada Indie. Her sophomore album ‘This Can’t Last Forever’ (spring 2023) was written between Vancouver, Toronto, Nashville, and Los Angeles, and produced by multi-platinum JUNO-winner Ryan Stewart.

Only the juiciest. Frankie, songwriter and performer, picks his Juicebox group of four to splash you with the juiciest of pop-punk warbles. Brewed up as vintage as vinyl, the juice is all too sweet and might very well be your new favorite band.

Frankie & The Juicebox are: Francis Henson, Madeleine Elkins, Adrian Sowa, Sydney Tough, Trent Otter.

The "j" Is silentSinger/Songwriter Silent St. j perfectly marries alternative folk and soul. She graciously creates an emotional resonance with her music and has the ability to enchant her listeners. With honest and captivating lyrics and soothing vocals Silent St. j sparks a sense of wonder in the hearts of any audience taking them on a journey through the liminal spaces of her mind.

As a child Silent St. j often spent her time lost in the depths of her thoughts and the vastness of her emotions. Inspired by cinema she would imagine herself within narratives that would echo her reality. She began writing songs as a means to accompany the surreal movies that were playing in the back of her mind. To this day Silent St. j continues to use this method to create her music. Drawing inspiration from both TV & film and especially her dreams. By blending her introspective lyrics and gentle guitar picking with a voice of velvet Silent St. j invokes a hypnotic ambiance to produce her cinematic songs.

"Elliott Slinn was named New Westminster’s fifth (and youngest) Poet Laureate in June 2021, actively beginning his tenure in August. His work has been described as immediate and accessible, as he explores the existential events of our day-to-day existence. His goal is to break the barriers surrounding poetry, and to bridge the gap from heart to heart."

At our events, you'll find Elliott perched atop a high table with his 1929 typewriter. He spends the evening crafting stunning poetry, by donation, for our audience members. All you have do is approach him, give him a word or a short story and he'll produce the most magical piece of personalized poetry for you.
