Roots students are invited to step back in time and learn from the past at Fort Calgary. Please register for a morning or afternoon program or come and spend the whole day!
We need to have a 1:6 Parent to Student ratio for each program. Parents that register through Eventbrite are not charged a program fee but are asked to volunteer to help and to have fun while engaging the students in their learning. You may be asked to lead a station or take a group around the museum during the program.
Unfortunately, no infants or young siblings can participate in the progarm. If you have an infant or younger siblings you may register your school-aged child in the program and then pay the museum rate of $12.00/Adult $5.00/Child (3-6) Free (2 and Under) to explore on your own throughout the day. This would be paid directly to Fort Calgary upon arrival.
Registration deadline: March 15, 2017
Please arrive 10 minutes early and meet at the School Program Entrance. There will be a coat room in the learning centres. Please bring a pair of inside shoes.
There are teachers guides and curriculum connections that show program purpose, program overview, pre-visit lesson plans and post-visit activities. http://www.fortcalgary.com/programs/teachers/#programs
