Event description

Description

The upscale sophistication of the new Toronto Marriott Markham sets the stage for our interactive fundraising evening, featuring a cocktail reception, three course meal, live performance by The Doubts, Live and Silent auctions, and more! Our evening's MC will be Suhana Meharchand. Black tie optional.

Rouge. One of our national colours, in one of our official national languages. An event held in autumn, the time of year when the leaves change to various shades of red and orange. Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven were dedicated to capturing the majestic Canadian landscape and the brilliant colours of autumn for all to enjoy. Frederick Horsman Varley was one of the founding members of the Group of Seven and lived on Main Street in Unionville from 1957-1969. The Varley Art Gallery is located at the corner of Main Street Unionville and Carlton Road, overlooking Toogood Pond and Toogood Pond feeds into the Rouge River.

Funds raised benefit the Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham (Registered Charity 891618373RR0001) to help support the Varley Art Gallery's exhibitions and education programs.
