About

Knowledge Translation 101 is a half-day primer for researchers, which focuses on the foundational principles of KT planning. Emphasizing the value of both integrated and end-of-grant KT, as defined by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, this is an introduction to KT terminology and planning.

Learning Objectives

Following this session, learners will be able to:

  • Define knowledge translation (KT) and describe the value of KT to research stakeholders
  • Identify the key principles of KT planning
  • Prepare a KT plan in collaboration with a group
  • Compare and apply different approaches to KT plan communication

Facilitator

Srdjana Filipovic is the Knowledge Translation Program Manager in the Learning Institute at SickKids. She holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto.
