"Classical Uke"  with Daphne Roubini (aka Ruby)

This workshop is perfect for you if you can read Ukulele tablature and would like to consolidate your melody playing, expressing tone and fluidity of playing. Perfect for Advanced B2/B3/,Intermediates and advanced players who would like to explore playing Classical pieces on the Ukulele. We will go from simple to more advanced so there is something for everyone, and with the practice audio samples, you also have room to grow!

You will learn: The beautiful melody playing opportunities of playing Classical Music on the Ukulele. With works by Bach,  Dvorak and others.  There will be charts, and audio samples to play along and download for really enjoying practice potential and playing these soothing pieces.  We will look at how to play with feeling, tone, and intentionality. This is perfect if you can read tablature and are looking to consolidate, and take ,your melody playing to a new level both for pleasure and technique.

Daphne Roubini is the founder, owner and director of Ruby's Ukes, some do call her Ruby! Daphne is responsible for the programming throughout Ruby's Ukes school and its evolution forward. She is a professional singer (Black Gardenia, and Ruby & Smith), and has a foundation in Jazz studies from City Lit in London and Kolday musicianship training from the British Kodaly Academy. She plays the piano and Ukulele. She loves simply playing melodies on the Ukulele and has used her knowledge of Kodaly concepts to easily, enjoyably and successfully teach thousands of students to play sweet melodies on the Ukulele! She understands the value of a different approach to teaching music to adults and it is partly this understanding that underpins the Ruby's Ukes unique approach that makes it fun and easy!

This workshop will be presented live, on-line, and interactive in the Ruby's Ukes Ukulele Zoom Room, an experience where everyone gets a front seat, including chart screen sharing and downloadable handouts. Easy to follow zoom instructions sent out in advance make this an enjoyable, fun way to improve your uke skills!
