Rural Root Theatre Presents an Evening of Three One Act Plays

Infant Morality

A 20 minute ‘black comedy about an upwardly mobile couple trying to return a baby to the hospital because it’s not what they thought raising a baby would be like.

Wanted: One Groom

A 30 minute comedy about a miss-timing of an ad in the local newspaper which ends up with an unusual response.

Still Stands The House

A 30 minute, highly acclaimed Canadian drama, with an interesting twist at the end which takes place in the depth of winter somewhere in the Prairies during the depression.



 What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Even through the Constance and Buckham's Bay Community Centre (CBBCA) is located a short 25 minute drive from Kanata there is no public transit available. Transportation to the CBBCA is limited to car, taxi or Uber, however there is plenty of free parking available.

    Rural Root Theatre Company

    The Rural Root Theatre Company (RRTC) is a community theatre group located in the West Carleton area of Canada's National Capital Region (Ottawa).

    RRTC is all about theatre! The passion, drive, work, skills, energy, funds, facilities – indeed, all we do has one goal: To develop our company to be the best it can be in all aspects of theatre. Focusing on this goal has served RRTC well as the company has a spreading reputation for high-quality, well-organized and polished productions.

    RRTC is incorporated as a Not-for-Profit organization and operates under the laws of Ontario. It is run by a duly elected Management Board of Directors who oversee the administration and programs of the corporation. It is governed by a set of By-Laws, and run with specific policies and operating procedures set by the Board.
