Together, Reba, Natasha and Kunga offer an explorative workshop delving into the physical, emotional, and spiritual experiences of sacred movement, to honour the Divine Feminine Winter. Think: "Mother Nature meets Blue Man Group", but with snacks and community.
Natasha Allain, our sacred musician, Crystal Intuitive and Reiki practitioner, will be opening up the evening with an interactive crystal gridding activity, where you can learn hands on about the various healing characteristics of crystals and semi-precious stones, while understanding their energetic flow and power when placed in sacred shapes and positions. From here you can choose a crystal to interact with for the evening and move to your mat for an energizing yoga practice with Kunga.
Kunga, our yoga leader, meditation guide, and healthful cook, will lead us through a heart opening, back bending practice - accessible to all experience levels and ranges of motion – in order to counter our tendency to withdraw energetically in the cold weather. Throughout class Natasha and Reba will be offering gentle adjustments and Reiki as well as modifications, blocks and bolsters to support you in your practice.
With a seamless transition, we will join circle and welcome a sound healing Community Kirtan facilitated by Natasha, Reba and Kunga. In this Kirtan, there will be guitar, rhythm instruments, tampura droning machine, and communal singing. Feel free to bring any hand held instruments that you may want to join in with, however your voice is the greatest gift.
After Kirtan, we will be buzzing with joyful energy and ready to rock and move to Reba’s GROOVE for the Sacred Feminine. Reba Campbell, our yoga, GROOVE instructor and Reiki Master, will bring us through fluid movements that ease and release the body's muscles and joints. This event’s GROOVE will explore iconic female artists and empowering expressive shapes and flow, nourishing the feminine energies within us all. If you're wondering what our event picture is, it is a badass picture captured from our last workshop during the GROOVE dance in the dark with finger lights...yes, you are allowed to bring out your inner child to dance and play with finger lights.
Once GROOVE has come to a gentle wind down, we will take a nourishment break and enjoy the community space. During this break Reba will be offering Goddess and God Oracle card readings and Natasha will be available for Crystal Intuitive sessions, discussing crystals and Conscious Adornment pieces that may be helpful for you in your journey.
Following our communal break, we will move into a Buddha Tara Meditation lead by Kunga. Buddha Tara is a great place to begin fostering the foundations for a strong meditation practice. In this meditation you will have the opportunity to create a relationship with the Buddha Tara deity.
And to close the evening, we will finish with a sacred circle.
May you Live to Learn and Love to Grow,
