Event description

Description

Please join us for our annual butterfly release!

Each butterfly represents a woman, a boy, a girl who will find safety and counselling 24 hours a day at Elgin's Emergency Shelter.

$30 sponsors one mighty soul

$120 sponsors a family

Your generosity will ensure transportation 24 hours a day from anywhere across Elgin County to the safety of Women's Place Elgin's Emergency Shelter. This is no small moment; rather it is life changing.

A tax receipt will be issued for your donation.

Please consider sharing this invitation with your family, friends, and co-workers and ask them to join you in sponsoring a butterfly or two!

And then join us on Saturday September 21st at 1:30pm as we come together to stand in love and support of women and children as they pursue their hopes for safer lives.

____________________________________

If you would to sponsor butterflies by cash or cheque, please pop by our community office at Suite 26 - 300 Talbot Street in St. Thomas or call 519.633.0155.

Please know that butterflies are not harmed by this event. They have been raised with care, fed, and sent gently to us for release at a time that is conducive for their migration to Mexico. There will be female and male butterflies released to help re-establish the monarch butterfly population that has been so effected by human activity.
