Description

Key initiative to make our hospital safer.
Join us for an interactive Safewards Knowledge Fair

As you know, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton is committed to providing a safe and respectful workplace and care environment. We have been implementing a number of initiatives to create a safer workplace for our staff and patients, and a stronger culture of workplace safety and reporting.

A key initiative is the expansion of the Safewards program, creating respect, safety and hope for everyone. Safewards is an internationally recognized evidence-based best practice model of care that has proven to reduce conflict and containment.

As key partners throughout the province, we are committed to developing a local vision and strategy to enable the implementation of Safewards within Mental Health and Addiction Programs across Ontario.

To carry on this conversation, join us for the inaugural Safewards Knowledge Fair, hosted by St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.

The Safewards Knowledge Fair will feature front-line staff showcasing the implementation of each of the 10 Safewards interventions across our Mental Health and Addiction Program. The Knowledge Fair helps meet one of the largest objectives of Safewards which is the sharing of information and resources.
