About this event
With Canada having set 2050 as the goal to achieve Net-Zero Carbon Emissions, all new buildings and renovations will have to consider the upcoming changes to the codes and standards. Designs must follow strict energy efficiency standards to meet the requirements that will be needed to reach the 2050 targets. In reality most of the houses that will exist in 2050 have already been built and are currently inefficient. The residential construction industries best opportunity to diminish operational emissions and electricity production is to further the adoption of deep energy retrofits and to massively scale up the retrofit offerings over the years to come.
Join us on January 27 to discuss the approaches, impacts, and myths around Deep Energy Retrofits.
- Introduction to Deep Energy Retrofits (DER);
- Myth-busting energy efficiency in residential buildings;
- Review samples of DER case studies;
- And, a questions period with our panel of industry professionals.
Come network with our project team, industry professionals, local builders, and homeowners!
