Clubs training will give you the skills you need to successfully run your club by teaching you about finances, grants, event planning, communication, liability, and SAMRU policies

  • It is required that at least one executive attend ONE of the listed training sessions in order for your club to be fully ratified. Even though it is mandatory that only one club executive attend training, it’s highly encouraged that other executives attend as well.
  • This session will take about 2 full hours
  • Dinner will be provided to all attendees. Please make sure you indicate on your registration any dietary restrictions.
  • Please bring a pen and paper for taking notes.
  • Training will also include some group work and networking.

General FAQs

1. Do I have to send an executive to clubs training even though our club has completed it in the past?

Yes. Every year an executive from each club must attend training to complete the ratification process. Official club status will not be granted until your club has completed training.

2. Is there a deadline to RSVP for clubs Training?

Yes. You must RSVP at least one week in advance of the training session you would like to attend. Registration for training session will close one week before the session takes place.

3. What should I do if I can no longer make it to a training session?

Please email if you need to cancel your registration. Remember that your club needs to complete training in order to ratify. Once you have done this re-register for another training session that you are able to attend.
