About this Event
About Your Teacher, Neetu:
Neetu has a wealth of experience working in the bridal industry. Neetu attended Blanche Macdonald Center, and graduated at the top of her class with a Global Make-up Artistry Diploma. Wanting to share her knowledge and passion for the industry, she continues to teach South Asian make-up and hair for students at Vancouver Community College.
About The Class:
Saree draping is a skill that can be useful for dressing yourself or an add-on for clients. This class is great for all industry professionals (beginner and advanced) who want to provide an additional service to their brides and grow their skill set in the wedding business. You will master pleating and draping a saree which will provide you the skill set to master and drape any type of saree.
Students will learn:
• Thorough demonstration, how to pleat and drape saree on a real model.
• Techniques and methods of making the pleating and ironing process efficient, ensuring beautiful results every time.
• Students will follow the steps demonstrated on a model (or each other) and be guided through each step
• Students will be assessed and provided feedback to help students perfect the method and techniques of draping the saree
• Different ways of draping the saree

This class will be rescheduled if any Covid-19 related restrictions come into effect that may affect our ability to run the class. We will do our best to consider each student's schedule when selecting the new date. In the case that the student cannot attend the revised date, a full refund will be issued.
Both the model and student must wear a face mask or face covering. Every person who enters our salon must have their temperature checked and hands sanitized at the front door. If you or your model have any COVID-19 symptoms or have travelled outside of Canada within 2 weeks of the class date, please be in touch with us right away to reschedule.
