Please meet a few minutes before 9 am at 841 Ralph Street. (red house across from the main Swan Lake Parking lot).

Wear close toed shoes and work clothing. We provide the tools and post shift cookies!

The Nature Sanctuary adheres to all Provincial Health Guidelines for communicable diseases. Please complete a personal health check before attending and do not attend this shift if you feel sick.

Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary

Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary is an accessible green space in Victoria, BC. The Nature Sanctuary is comprised of two physically and ecologically distinct areas – a low wetland area around Swan Lake and a Garry Oak meadow on Christmas Hill.

The 160+ acres of Nature Sanctuary are vital for protecting rare and threatened plants, fungi, and animals, preserving the health of the Colquitz River Watershed, and connecting more than 60,000 visitors to nature each year. We offer community educational programs to learners of all ages.
