Join Gail Molenaar of Wander Wild Wonder/ SCDSB and Shelley Sweazey of SCDSB in discovering the joy of loose parts/intelligent materials and the deep meaning they bring for creative young minds. Numerous provocations will invite learning for diverse age groups.
During this session we will explore loose parts and intelligent materials through play by experiencing how learning happens. Setting up provocations/invitations, listening and simple documentation will bring learning to life and make connections to program expectations.
Grab a bag of “STUFF” and bring it along with you because one person’s junk is another’s treasure. This is a great opportunity to share and trade loose parts. Every large ‘Ziploc’ full of treasure can be swapped or bartered for someone else’s. A small amount of time will be allotted for you to make exchanges. Lunch will be included with your workshop.
Beautiful Loose Parts Bags will be available for purchase after the workshop. They are $40 and are cash only.
