About this event

Sawubona is a Zulu greeting that means "I See You".

Join the African Friendship Society on October 1, 2022 from 12 pm to 3 pm at the Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre to discover authentic food from West, Central, East, and Southern Africa, all in one place.

FREE! Please register ahead of time so we know how many people to expect.

This event will be happening at the same time as the Africa with the Masters Festival. For more details on the festival, click HERE.

If you would like to volunteer for the Sawubona Food Fest or Africa with the Masters Festival, please register HERE.

We live, work, and play on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, also known as Vancouver, BC.

This festival is made possible by a generous funding from Canadian Heritage.
