It’s time for something completely different! Join Zach Barrett in a workshop on Improv. Together we’ll explore how to channel that inner expression inside all of us through games that focus on relaxation and focus. By the end we’ll even dabble a bit on understanding how to go with the punches and take what we’re given and work it into the story, whatever that story may be!

This workshop has been moved outdoors! Dress warm and bring something nice and hot to drink.

About the facilitator:

Zach is a Film/theatre artist that specializes in performance. His degree in Filmmaking and acting through Red Deer College and Keyano College has provided him ample opportunity in the space of performance and improvisational theatre. He even started a community Improv group back in 2014 that has performed around Fort McMurray. Most of his improv work is done in workshops with the students at Drama Force, Keyano Theatre’s summer theatre acting intensive that began in 2013.

Theatre; Just Because is dedicated to keeping our facilitators and participants as safe as possible at our workshops and other events. We ask that everyone attending adheres to the AHS, facility, and TJB guidelines:

• Anyone attending a TJB event is required to wear a face mask.
• Maintain physical distancing (6 feet) when possible.
• Hand sanitizer will be available.
• No lingering/grouping in hallways or outside classrooms.
• Anyone showing signs of being ill with flu-like symptoms will NOT be permitted to attend.
