CBC is gifting fans with an exclusive Sounds of the Season farewell to Mr. D! This fun-filled event will begin at 7:30 pm ET on Friday, December 7 at CBC Toronto in the Barbara Frum Atrium.

Join Gerry Dee and the cast of Mr. D for a look back at their favourite moments over the past eight seasons, followed by a fan Q&A. The event will be live-streamed on Facebook for fans who can't attend in person.

Tickets and Seating

• Free tickets will be available at 10:00 am ET on Friday November 23.
• Fans can reserve a maximum of two tickets per order.
• Seating is provided on a first come first served basis and is not guaranteed.

Event Timing

• Access to event seating will begin at 7:00 pm.
• The show begins at 7:30 pm.

About Mr. D

Mr. D is based on the stand-up comedy act of Gerry Dee, who was a teacher for nine years before transitioning to a career in comedy. The series revolves around the eponymous Mr. D, an under-qualified and unmotivated teacher trying to fake his way through work – and life. The eighth and final season airs Wednesdays at 9pm on CBC, the CBC TV streaming app, and cbc.ca/watch, with the very last episode airing on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

About CBC Toronto's Sounds of the Season

It’s the season of giving! CBC Toronto’s Sounds of the Season event takes place on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5:30 am until 8:30 pm at the CBC Broadcasting Centre in Toronto.

The event includes LIVE radio and TV broadcasts, performances by our city's best local musicians, meet and greets with CBC local and network stars, and more. Admission is free, but cash and food donations are welcome.

Sounds of the Season is much more than a one-day event. The annual charity drive campaign runs until December 31 to collect food and monetary donations in support of GTA food banks. Last year with your generous support, CBC Toronto raised more than $675,936 and collected 27,190 pounds of food. Keep giving and help us raise the bar this year!
