Medicine and psychology have traditionally focused on deficits and dysfunction (i.e., what is wrong with you and how do you fix it psychology). With humor and knowledge, he will outline recent research findings related to how choices can contribute (and undermine) our happiness. Recently, science has placed an increased emphasis on positive well-being (i.e., what is right with you and how do you promote it). Dr. Mark Holder leads a research team investigating the science of positive psychology.
