Event description

Description

Scratch is a block-based programming language designed to be easy to use, as well as an online community where you can create and share your own interactive stories, games, and animations.

It is often used as a beginning language to teach people not only to code, but also to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. While both simple and fairly powerful, Scratch is a bit limited (e.g. one cannot access files, use first-class data, etc.). It uses blocks, not commands, which means there is no syntax to remember.

In this workshop, learners figure out how to create geometric shapes based on the Artist game on Code.org. Learning Centre 1 is on the 1st floor near the staircase leading up.

Free e-tickets will be available starting Oct. 17. **Please note your spot is guaranteed only for the first 10 min. of class.
