Ed Video is hosting a 3 session remote Screenplay Development Course

About this Event

Participants come to the course with an idea for a screenplay—short or feature-length—which they present and develop during the 3 nights through class discussion and feedback. Topics covered include character, structure, dialogue and some of the building blocks of screenwriting, including logline, premise, beat sheet and treatment.

Cost: $30 members, $75 non-members

Dates and time 7 pm to 9pm, October 27, November 3 and November 10, via Zoom.

Instructor: Hope Thompson

Hope is a screenwriter and playwright. Her work focuses on comedy, camp, history, mystery and film noir. She has written and directed several award-winning short films (It Happened In The Stacks, Switch) and plays (She Walks The Line, Stiff, Trapped!) in these genres. Her film, Switch, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and her recent play, Trapped! was published in the Playwrights Canada Press anthology, Queer Play. Hope has written for CBC's Baroness Von Sketch Show and recently performed her show, The Talking Grave, at FADO Performance Art Centre.
