Many organizations have some sort of internal software development going on - sometimes without even realizing it. With the rise of supply-chain attacks and the constantly changing landscape of libraries and cloud services offered to modern development teams, it is imperative that organizations plan to effectively protect, detect, and respond to breaches in their software development pipelines. In this presentation, Neil Karan (Director at Mandiant) and Timothy Watkins (Senior Consultant at Mandiant) will take you through some real-world scenarios faced by software development project teams today, offering mitigation tactics along the way.

Bios:

Neil Karan is a Director for Mandiant and leads the Western Canada and Atlantic Canada Consulting Practices where he aids companies in developing and transforming their cyber security programs to better detect, prevent and respond to information security incidents.

Timothy Watkins is a Senior Consultant with Mandiant’s Western Canadian practice and helps customers to assess, design and build robust application security programs. He works closely with customers, focusing on the concerns and priorities they have in order to improve their SDLC and Application Development practices.
