For this event, the guest author is none other than Andy Polaine, a thought leader in service design. Join Andy as he is going to share his perspectives from his chapter on Measuring Services from his Rosenfeld media book on Service Design: From Insight to Implementation and answer questions from the attendees.
Andy Polaine is Group Director of Fjord Client Evolution, a global role sharing Fjord’s wealth of design and innovation experience to help clients build and grow their own capability and transform their organisations. Previously he was the APAC Regional Design Director and Fjord Evolution Lead. He is co-author of the Rosenfeld Media book, Service Design: From Insight to Implementation and a Rosenfeld Expert. Andy has over 25 years of experience in design and innovation with clients across a range of industries, including finance, public services, insurance, telecommunications, automotive, media, design and education. He holds a PhD from the University of Technology, Sydney and is a Fellow of the RSA. He can be found online at polaine.com, on Twitter as @apolaine.

Refunds will be issued up to one day before the event. We will have a waitlist, so if you can no longer make it, please refund your ticket so someone else can attend.

The Quick Version

Service Design Toronto is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.

We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form.

Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media.

Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the event organisers.

The Less Quick Version

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an event organizer immediately. Event organizers will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.
