Help us understand the sources of pollution in Hamilton Harbour by sorting the waste captured in Harbour West Marina's Seabins!

About this event

Join BARC staff and a small team of volunteers to sort and count the waste captured in Pollution Probe and Harbour West Marina's Seabins.

Seabins are floating trash cans that capture litter in the water. We'll be collecting and sorting the collected waste to find out what type of trash is making its way into Hamilton Harbour. From coffee cups to cigarette butts, to shoes and scrunchies, every item collected by a Seabin is one less piece of trash in the Harbour!

For safety on the dock, we provide life jackets that must be worn durin the program. We ask that you please bring your own reusable water bottle, and wear a hat and sunscreen.

**Please note the end time is flexible as sorting time is dependent on how much waste has been captured by the Seabin.
